Summary: The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department is an award winning, high value/low maintenance state-of-the-art station, designed by Bignell Watkins Hasser Architects. This 30,000 sf facility includes five drive-thru apparatus bays plus a wash bay. The living and administration areas contain office space, bunkrooms, kitchen/dining space, training room and support space to accommodate shift personnel. A museum area and meeting spaces are open to the public. The facility is designed to adhere to the “hot zone” concept of separating contaminated areas from clean living spaces.

Summary: Complete renovation of existing gym facility to create a full service senior and recreation center to include classrooms, a large dining or auditorium area, dance studios, offices, baths and a gymnasium. Owner ultimately added modifications to incorporate changes to storefront and sliding entry door system, modifications to doors to meet new Fire Code, full service warming kitchen, grease trap and related site work, complete modification of IT and security system, repairs and finishing of gymnasium floor, to name a few.

Appeal Convenience Center

Summary: State-of-the-art solid waste and recycling center located on Sweetwater Road in Lusby, MD. Site design allows one-way traffic flow for residents and eliminates wait times.

Dove Pier Replacement

Summary: Design and construction of a replacement pier for the Maryland Dove including, all pilings, dolphins, cross bracing, decking, electrical, water and the two outbuildings including pavilion extension onto the workshop and construction of the outdoor classroom.
